The Exploration:
“De-Colonizing Minds” delves into the lasting impacts of colonialism, exploring how they resonate in today’s society. Through engaging workshops, critical discussions, and cultural activities, participants embark on a profound exploration of Berlin’s rich history and its connection to colonialism.
Building Bridges:
With 28 participants from France, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany, the project goes beyond borders, fostering connections and collaborations. The goal is not just to raise awareness but to build a supportive network dedicated to addressing colonialism’s legacies.
The Card Game Initiative:
One unique outcome of the project is the collaborative creation of an educational card game. This innovative tool becomes a catalyst for dialogue, designed to raise awareness about modern-day colonialism. The game, developed during the project, becomes a tangible resource for ongoing discussions.
Short-Term and Long-Term Impact:
In the short term, participants gain a deeper understanding of colonialism’s consequences and forge connections that may lead to future collaborations. In the long term, the project envisions sustainable awareness, systemic change within youth-oriented organizations, global collaboration, and the card game serving as an educational resource.
