The fourth day of the project started on Zoom on Monday, 24.05.2021 at 18:00, as planned.
Program Project Manager Onur Oguz Dellal and Project Coordinator Kerem Yalçın explained how the debate will be conducted. Determination of debate teams, assignment of questions, the format of materials that debaters should use in the debate, and the evaluation chart of the jury were discussing with the participants during the session.
In this context, two affirmatives, and two opposition teams were determined.
The questions assigned to these groups were as follows.
AFFIRMATIVE TEAM 1 vs OPPOSITION TEAM 1:
“People must/must not be legally required to be vaccinated.”
AFFIRMATIVE TEAM 2 vs OPPOSITION TEAM 2: “Digitalization makes it easier/harder to familiarize with different cultures.”
The question for the final debate to be held by the winner of these two debates was determined as follows.
“Social media democratizes communities/encourages
lynching and ostracism.”
After the participants’ questions about the debate and regulations, our daily program ended with a 30-minute yoga exercise performed by Shailin Soni.
